Here is a list of the various crafts that Local 871 represents:

Requirements to join as a Script Supervisor or Teleprompter Operator
You must have either 100 paid non-union days or 30 paid union days (see below) in order to qualify for placement on the Producers Industry Experience Roster at Contract Services Administrative Trust Fund. If you have 100 paid non-union days they must have been earned within a two year period. If you have 30 paid union days they must have been earned within a one year period and on a non-union show that signed an IATSE agreement during production. Save any and all documentation proving that you were paid and had worked as a Script Supervisor or Teleprompter Operator.
Save your pay stubs. Personal checks will not suffice. It is also necessary to submit letters from the Producers to CSATF to verify that you had worked in the covered capacity. This in turn will also demonstrate that you have had enough paid experience as a Script Supervisor or Teleprompter Operator to qualify for membership into Local 871.
Once you have all of your paperwork gathered up call CSATF at 818-565-0550 and let them know that you would like to submit your paperwork. You will be required to make an appointment to fill out and application, an I-9 form and to be tested for color-blindness. Please make to sure to bring your passport, drivers license and social security card at your appointment. Once your days have been completely submitted, CSATF will send a letter to Local 871 signifying that you will be placed on the Roster. If we approve of your days, you will be contacted by the Local via certified mail notifying you that you are eligible to join Local 871.
You will be required to take several safety classes through CSATF in order for you to be able to work on Union productions as a Script Supervisor or Teleprompter Operator. Once you have completed those classes you will be issued a permanent safety passport. Please contact CSATF Safety Pass program at 818-847-0040 for more information.

You must have either 30 paid UNION days or 100 paid non-union days (verifiable through pay stubs) for these crafts along with a current resume.
Requirements to join as an Art Department Coordinator
You must have either 30 paid UNION days or 100 paid non-union days (verifiable through pay stubs) for this craft along with a current resume.
Requirements to join as a Production Accountant, Assistant Accountant or Payroll Accountant
You must have 30 paid UNION days (verifiable through pay stubs) for all of these crafts along with a current resume.
